Wind and colder air from Northern Europe will break into Italy, bringing snow to the Alps but also to the peaks of the central Apennines.
How long does bad weather last in February
However, bad weather and rain should not last as long as the cold. Even if the cyclonic anomaly will remain in Italy also in the week between 19 and 25 February, its effects will in fact be decidedly more attenuated. The latest forecasts indicate that rains and thunderstorms will decrease in intensity and will be in line with the averages for the period throughout the country, while temperatures will drop below averages across much of Italy, apart from the major islands. The most intense cold is expected in the north-east and the Alpine sector where there will be no shortage of snowfall.
