The archaeological museum of Stabia reopens with a new route

The Libero D'Orsi archaeological museum of Stabia reopens from 6 March – with an expanded route, visitable deposits and a training and digitalisation school – and the inauguration will take place on Monday 4 March, at 3pm, at the Reggia di Quisisana in Castellammare di Stabia of the new layout of the museum. The Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano will be present; the general director of the MiC Museums Massimo Osanna, the head prefect of the extraordinary commission of the Municipality of Castellammare Raffaele Cannizzaro; the director of the Pompeii Archaeological Park Gabriel Zuchtriegel; the director of the Archaeological Museum of Stabia Libero D'Orsi Maria Rispoli and professor Carlo Rescigno of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli.
On this occasion, the commander of the Carabinieri Cultural Heritage Protection Unit of Naples, Captain Massimiliano Croce, will present the recovery of approximately 125 archaeological finds from Campania, conducted in synergy with the Archaeological Park of Pompeii. The finds will be protected and enhanced in the context of the Orsi Museum.
