Roma won 4-0 against Cagliari. De Rossi achieved his third success (out of three) as coach of the Giallorossi. Roma played wonderful football and fell just one point behind Atalanta, who occupy fourth position, the last place for the Champions League. On the cover obviously Paulo Dybala, author of a brace against the Sardinians and scoring three times (like Pellegrini) in the first three matches of the De Rossi era.
The Argentine striker scored the second and third goals of the match. In the first he started the action in midfield and then closed it after the game, then converted a penalty. But beyond the goals scored (which are obviously worth a lot), Dybala played a wonderful match, took part in many actions, was free to do what he wanted, he even tried to get Lukaku to score but wasn't able to. After the match the former Juventus player praised the new Roma coach: ” What did he bring us? Enthusiasm for sure, he knows these people better than anyone. We had long weeks to work and this was one of the secrets”.
Exalting De Rossi, however, does not mean forgetting José Mourinho , the coach who wanted him in the capital: “I said the things I had to say to him. It's not nice to lose a coach in the middle of the season, everyone's to blame and in the football coaches pay. We footballers also have to look inside ourselves and have a reason for what is needed.”
Candela approves De Rossi as Roma's new coach: “I immediately sent him a message”
Then in the interview with DAZN Dybala praised the team: “We all had fun, it was a great match. We took a risk at the end of the first half, but it was a beautiful match” , and praised Baldanzi , signed from Empoli in the transfer market of January: ” He is a boy who I have seen little but he is very humble with a great desire to work. He has a lot of quality”.
Finally Dybala commented on the comparison with Totti (very heavy), which was brought up by De Rossi who drew a parallel between Dybala and Totti: “ He shared many years with Francesco. Totti was unique in Rome and in Italy, I can only have pleasure”,
