From Casertano to Naples by bike, 14 year old gets lost and asks for help from the Penitentiary

He had started from San Marcellino, in the province of Caserta, and, pedal after pedal, he had reached Naples. After about thirty kilometres , in front of the Poggioreale prison, he realized that he had ended up in an area he didn't know and that he had no idea how to get home. And so, scared, he asked for help from the first uniforms he saw. The protagonist of the story is a 14-year-old from San Marcellino, rescued by the Penitentiary Police in front of the Neapolitan prison.

The story was made known by Tiziana Guacci , regional secretary for Campania of the Autonomous Penitentiary Police Union, who on behalf of the organization complimented the two officers who intervened to help the boy, reassured him and contacted his parents, providing them the directions to come and collect their son. The father and mother, who were unaware of that “trip” and were in disbelief when they found out, reached the 14-year-old shortly after and finally brought him home.

Sappe expresses its satisfaction to the prison police staff who, with a high sense of responsibility and duty, allowed the boy to be reunited with his family. Their attention and acumen certainly allowed the situation to be kept under control and indeed allowed the boy and his family the right serenity after the initial, understandable, fear.
