Brazil is the beach soccer world champion, Italy's adventure at the 2024 World Cup in Dubai ends in the final. Azzurri defeated 6-4 in the last act of the world championship which saw the green and gold win their sixth world title in sand football.

A defeat that came at the end of a match that had seen Italy start strong and find the opening goal with a tap-in by Gianmarco Genovali, who did well to return the ball rejected by the crossbar after Remedi's overhead kick. However, the conceded goal woke up Brazil and before the end of the first half they equalized with Rodrigo's poisonous conclusion which surprised Casapieri.

In the second half, the green and gold returned to the field with a different attitude, causing great concern to the Italian rearguard, forced into overtime and halfway through the second period, with the Italian team outnumbered for two minutes due to the expulsion of goalkeeper Casapieri (last man's foul on Rodrigo launched into the net by a wrong back pass by Giordani), the overtaking goal arrives for the South Americans: Rodrigo is once again the protagonist who anticipates Carpita with an overhead kick, giving his team the advantage. However, Italy's reaction came immediately with Tommaso Fazzini (brother of the Empoli player in Serie A Jacopo) who with a powerful diagonal at the restart of the game immediately brought the result back to a draw.

However, before the end of the second half, Brazil scores a double blow which stuns Del Duca's men first with the goal from Bruno Xavier and then with the sensational own goal from Genovali who, under the pressure of the green and gold number #8, tries to relieve the pressure on goalkeeper Carpita but putting the ball in his own goal. Positive trend for the Brazilians which also continues at the start of the third and final period with Brendo who surprises Carpita with an overhead kick from the midfield, bringing the green and gold lead 5-2 with 10 minutes to go. Italy's reaction is once again entrusted to Tommaso Fazzini who converts a free kick a few seconds later to reduce the deficit by scoring the 5-3 goal, but the usual Rodrigo takes care of extinguishing any hope for the Azzurri who scores his personal hat-trick bringing Brazil back to +3. Genovali's final goal was useless, fixing the score at the definitive 6-4 which gave the world title to the Brazilians while Italy once again saw their dream of becoming world champion in the final fade away.
